Conference in Seoul, 22 September 2017

On 22 September, Hans Schulte-Nölke and Christoph Busch, presented the Project at a Conference of Hankuk University Seoul (South Korea). Among the guests were academics, representatives of the internet industry and consumer protection authorities from Korea and China.

Workshop in Friedrich-Naumann-Stiftung, 13.03.2017

Prof. Hans Schulte-Nölke presented the Discussion Draft at a workshop organised by a German foundation for liberal politics – Friedrich-Naumann-Stiftung. The Workshop took place in Berlin and focused on various problems of consumer policy.

 

 

Discussing the Project with Korean Internet Companies, 22.02.2017

Prof. Dr. Christoph Busch, Dr. Alberto De Franceschi and Prof. Dr. Vanessa Mak presented the Discussion Draft at a meeting with representatives of leading Korean Internet Companies. The meeting was organised by Prof. Dr. Byung Jun Lee (Hankuk University) at Pangyo Techno Valley, Seoul.

 

 

Meeting with representatives of the French Ministry for the Economy and Finance and the French Digital Council, 22.02.2017

The Discussion Draft was presented by Prof. Hans Schulte-Nölke to representatives of French Ministry for the Economy and Finance and the French Digital Council. In particular, the participants commented on the recent development in French law, including the new Act of the Digital Republic dated 28.10.2016 (“Loi pour une République numérique”)

Prof. Dr. Christoph Busch presented the Discussion Draft at a conference in Seoul, organised by Prof. Dr. Byung Jun Lee (Hankuk University) in cooperation with the Korea Internet & Security Agency (KISA), Seoul Electronic Commerce Center and the Korean Ministry of Science, ICT and Future Planning, System Renovation

Prof. Dr. Christoph Busch presented the Discussion Draft to stakeholders and policymakers at a workshop on transparency in the digital world, organised by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy as part of the discussion process towards the White Paper on Digital Platforms (“Weißbuch Digitale Plattformen”).

Conference “Digital Economy and the Law: Asian and European Perspectives”, 19.-20.08.2016

Prof. Dr. Christoph Busch organised the conference “Digital Economy and the Law: Asian and European Perspectives” in cooperation with the Korean Institute for National Competitiveness and the Consumer Law Center of the Hankuk University of Foreign Studies (Seoul). Prof. Hans Schulte-Nölke prepared a presentation on online platforms as a challenge for European consumer law and Prof. Juliette Sénéchal on the regulation of the online platforms in France.

Discussing the Green paper of the German Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy, 13.07.2016

The German Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy invited Prof. Dr. Christoph Busch and Prof. Hans Schulte-Nölke to take part in a discussion concerning the Green paper on Digital Platforms published by the Ministry (“Grünbuch Digitale Plattformen”). The green paper is the part of the German Digital Strategy 2025.
